Memory LaneA permanent exhibition and environmental enhancement of the Hospital’s main corridors
The hallway of the Hospital is a confusing place with no visible markings that assist distressed patients and visitors finding their way about. Memory Lane will therefore use images, plaques, uniforms and other items from all three base hospitals. The works will be ordered chronologically, rather than by hospital. Much thought, consultation, and research has gone into the preparation of environmental project so it is important to set out some of the considerations in its conceptual development.
Considerations A limited number of works set within a specified environment will be most beneficial. Too many images will lesson the impact of the experience as people become overwhelmed with too many images and stop looking.
